[sdiy] Pot Brand Preferences / Knobs

Hi All,

I am about to put together the core of my modular system, and I am curious what fellow DIY'ers are using for pots. As this is the first part of the modular, I will be setting a precedent in terms of form factor for the rest of the system.

I realize that you get what you pay for with pots, and was thinking about using some miniature conductive plastic units, perhaps the sealed Bourns 3310s. Only problem is, as this model has a 1/8" shaft, knobs are either impossible to find, or cost as much as, or MORE, than the pot itself!

I would love to use the old Radio Shack-style blue capped knobs, but I haven't been able to find any for 1/8" shafts.

So, I am looking to either find an alternative quality pot in the $5.00 to $6.00 Canadian range (app. $4.00 US per in quantity of 10+) with a 1/4" shaft, or, preferably, some nice knobs for the 3310s.

Any suggestions?
