I usally only use duals. They typically have a bit better performance than
quads (don't really know if yoy can hear the difference though). For high
impedence like most I use TL072. TL052 has noise specs of 072 and offset
specs of the 082. I have not tried this one and it is considerable more
expensive. For bi-polar and general purpose I use NJM2068s. These are low
noise 4558s. A couple of the guys that did analog design for me are hooked
on these. You will find these in a lot of mid-level mixers (Mackie, ...).
