In the PWM section, there are resistors that have values
with a strike through. I did this so that the original
values are still readable. René Schmitz had spec'd a
power supply of 9 to 15 volts, bipolar. Also, see René's
original drawing for the expo converter since my drawing
was changed, replacing the expo with a linear V-I converter.
With a balanced supply, I would try the strike through
values.
Also, René's circuit spec'd a 2.2nF integration cap. I
substituted 4.4nF simply because I wanted a lower range
of operation for a given set of pitch CVs.
The V-I converter is not affected by moving from a balanced
bipolar supply to +8/-12, other than the resistors involved
with offset nulling the opamp. However, I think most people
do not run linear here, so for most builders, the linear V-I
goes away in favor of René's expo.
The saw to tri converter should work with anything from +3
to +18 volts (given that voltage powers the whole circuit).
