[sdiy] odd number counter??

I need a counter that can divide by odd numbers.  Does anyone still make
the CD4018??  I thought I was all set until I tried to look up the price in
the Digikey catalog.  According to their websites, it's been discontinued
by Harris, Phillips, National, and Fairchild.  While they seem to be in
stock at a few places that specialize in obsolete chips, I'd rather not use
a dead chip in a new design.

I can't seem to find a cross reference.  Anyone have any ideas on a
replacement??
