I'm afraid I've got bad news for you...466 Foothill Blvd in La Canada, CA is 
a small shopping center, with 7 businesses in it. One of them is a Mailboxes 
Etc. It's a mail drop. You might contact them at (818)952-0981, and explain 
the situation, but I'm not sure how far you'll get without filing some sort 
of criminal complaint and having legal papers requiring them to disclose the 
information. It's worth a try, though.

Note that this might not even be his real name either, it's easy to sign over 
checks and money orders to one's actual name. However, if he ever accepted 
checks, you might be able to find out the real name by getting in touch with 
somebody who paid him this way and find out who the check was signed over to.
