Don't forget the 16 groups of 7-segment displays, above each button, that
can show how you set each parameter for each step!

I think the supplies are in better shape than they were a couple years back.
Atmel (and everyone else, I'd imagine) was using their fabs to make flash
memory for cell phones, and their other parts were locked out for a while.
I think it's mostly over now, and I've been able to get small quantities of
AVRs from Digikey.
