The Pro-One had Linear portamento.  The same basic circuit was also used in 
the Prophet Five (the P5's glide was available only while in monophonic 
unison mode).

For a cheap and dirty exponential VC-glide, I would consider using a Vactrol 
for the voltage controlled resistance element, as was done in the old 
Oberheim Four-Voice.  At least there wouldn't be an offset problem.
