Hi John,
I'll check into your method. The (3) J/K flip flop method I mentioned is
shown on Scott Gravenhorst's Fatman site... it's a portion of the circuit
shown at:

I've never tried the circuit yet (or done a logic diagram, for that
matter)... but it looked like something to try out.
