I intend to drive my divide by 3 circuit from the Blacet MIDI to DIN-sync
IC... so the clock should be pretty stable... so I guess I just need a
little conformation on this (I haven't bought the IC yet)

John: Does your chip produce a fairly even pulse wave? I see that it
makes a 5uS pulse... Any limits on the MIDI tempo where things start to
stray from "normal"? Also, what is the voltage range of the output? 0 to 5v?

I see how you mention stretching the pulse width to 1mS with a 4538... does
your scheme with the 4018 divide by 3 follow nicely at a wide range of tempos?
