[sdiy] Anyone ever build a sampler?

There are many modules and features that are not available on commercial
synthesizers. Look at the guys selling boards kits on this list there are a
lot of unique functions. Recent threads discuss nonlinear feedback in filter
circuits. Anything like that in the commercial market?
