For me it was the same thing, just the other way round.
Until 10 years ago, I thought every lin pot must be
called "A". Different countries, different conventions.
No problem as long as we know that different conventions
exist.
Now, let's talk about 6mm and 1/4" diameter shafts! (;->)
(Seriously: let's *not* talk about it. It's a pain, but
we have to live with it.)
JH. (Who has once wrapped 6mm shafts with copper foil until
they fit into 1/4" knobs, and since then better asks
twice if a knob is 6mm or actually 6.35mm ...)
