Just got an email back from Korg UK. They have the service manual for 10
quid so I think that'd be money well spent.

Dave, I agree. OTOH, as you say I've nothing to lose. Worst case, I have a
bag full of bits I can probably use for other things. Let's hope it's a
simple fault...
