iirc, marrs has plugs, switchcraft and the slightly lesser types..
Geetar Center too IIRC.
And, imho, coax is not all that bad for signals, but its a bit of overkill.. Cool thing about it is that it doesn't become spaghetti as easily. ;) I prefer it myself, and havent had a problem yet. It comes up on the surplus market more often too, for dirt cheap or less.. But, it has a tendency to need strain relief or it will lever itself enough to tear from the jack.

Subject: [sdiy] source of cheap 1/4" plugs?
I''ve gotten a patch panel to use with my rack full of gear, and now I need to figure out how to get it all cabled cheaply, since the number of 3 foot patch cables I need would probably cost me around $1500 at guitar center. I've got a big roll of small coax that's the right size (I know it's rather stiff, but it was also free, and these cables are almost never going to be unplugged and never coiled since they're in the back of a rack.)
I figure I need about 150 mono plugs, and maybe 25 stereo for footswitches etc. I know that buying new retail switchcraft is too expensive, so I'm wondering what else is available.
