Hi all!
I have a half-baked idea for a circuit, and I'm looking for design
pointers...
I have several "distortion" circuits. I wish for an audio input to be mixed
through these distortion circuits dynamically, perhaps based on RMS or an
envelope. The sort of effect I'm looking for is like this:
Say there are 4 distortion circuits, D1-D4.
If a soft sound appears at the input, the percentage of the signal at the
output is based on:
50% D1
25% D2
15% D3
10% D4
If a loud sound appears at the input, I want more along the lines of:
10% D1
15% D2
25% D3
50% D4
These percentages, and the scaling, are all just for example. I want to play
with lotsa different things in there; what I'm looking for is general hints
on the direction to look in.
Also, can I tap into the four pieces of an ADSR envelope individually? For
example, could I make an ADSR where A, D, S, and R all control different
VCA's? Then I could map A->D1, D->D2, S->D3, R->D4 etc.
