A friend of mine who has been a radio engineer gave me some sliders
which are supposed to have been replacements for a Urei console that
got smashed. I have four of them. They all have a switch at the
bottom of the fader, are really smooth, well sealed with rubber flaps
on the side, and are still wrapped in plastic. They all have this
written on them:
SLIDELINE (TM) potentiometer
DUNCAN electronics, Inc.
Costa Mesa, Cal. USA
220 SAQ 10K
Is anyone here interested in them? Do they have any value? I've
considered using them to make four channels of mixing for something,
like a front end for a ProTools 442 I/O box, but don't think I ever
will. Cutting slider slots is annoying, and I don't even have a
ProTools 442 I/O box....yet.
