Don, Rick, and others...My apologies for causing a stir. I don't think the 
chat list is necessary, but if others want it then let Rick know privately 
(perhaps it might not be bad a idea, I figure we're a large community.. how 
many members do we have? I could post a link for an interactive poll there..)

Thanks for the offer on the space, Bill. I've got enough myself, but I 
think I'll use one of those free polls services somewhere.

Ouch, I wasn't trying to cause noise. I assumed that since the default 
reply-to field was to reply privately, and that if the other list members 
felt it should be private, respondents wouldn't go through the trouble of 
changing or adding to the default private reply-to field. Though, will 
comply in the future.
