Especially the -12. They are seldom even. The
primary reason for -12 is RS232. +12 otoh, runs 5.25
disk drive motors, cooling fans, and at least a few
years ago, hard drive motors. So they are ALWAYS
uneven in terms of current capacity. In addition,
they are not designed to have their outputs accessed
easily. As far as +5 being loaded, I've run into a
few that don't will work with +12 loaded, but I'm not
really sure as the standard technique is to just plug
a hard drive in to test the power supply. I agree
with, I believe Harry, go buy a +-15v linear power
supply. (Or...shhhh...steal one from a dead poly6 :)
