[sdiy] Tuneable Quantizer

Hi
    the more i think about this the harder it is for me to restrict
myself to my original plan of doing just 16 steps to start with, the
idea of massive macrotonal scales andjust plain weird out of tune scales
to appealing. So it looks like i will have to move on to the software
method which is kinda the way it has to be unless i want to reinput a 60
step microtonal scale everytime i want to use it, memory is almost
essitial. With that, i always planned on going into PICs when i broke
down and decided to get into the digital end, would this be a good place
to start and more importantly is a PIC capable of something like this,
or should i move onto something a little stonger, i do have programming
experiance so this would not be first time working withthis type of
thing, just my first time doing all software and hardware myself, any
thoughts on what to use? thanks for the help
