>I recall reading a construction article on the "Psych Tone" in a '70s
edition of Popular Electronics. It had three or four knobs on the front
and generated random tone patterns. I am attempting to locate a
schematic for this project and wish to adapt it to a DIY project. If
anyone has the schemos or know where they are archived, I would
appreciated it.
Regards and thanks in advance,

Hi Scott:
I still have that magazine, it is the Feb. 1971 issue. If you want, I can
photocopy the article and snail mail it to you.
The "Psych Tone", and John Simonton's "Surf Synthesizer" in the Feb. 1972
issue, were the inspiration for my later work in synthesizer design. I
started out by borrowing some of the circuitry from these projects and
making modifications to create something closer to a traditional modular
synthesizer, eventually discarding those circuit designs altogether in
favor of the new designs I eventually came up with.
