Hi,
Ive just got some more questions about the Walsh functions and
generators .
I know from using the well known system of Drawbars that its possible to
quickly adjust the type of waveform and sound that you are looking for .
I think when this system is used on the Hammond Organs there are 9
drawbars at fixed pitches and each can be set from 0 to 8 .
Would you need to have more drawbars when using Walsh functions ? and
would the frequencies of each drawbar be fixed ?
I guess the answer to my next question is that I need to make up a unit
to find out , but how intuitive is it using the drawbars or faders with
the Walsh functions ?
I'm not worried about recreating standard waveforms ,but how controlable
is the sound ? just wanted people's opinions who have used Walsh
generators.
I see I have got a lot to learn about this .
the first mention of Walsh functions that I can remember was in
Electronics and Wireless world magazine many years ago .
looking forward to finding out more about the Walsh cpld .

regards Peter
