You're right.  I think in our quest to provide documentation for older gear
that we forget the OEM may indeed make a profit from the sale of documents.
However, in reality I expect that they would just as soon not fool with it.
Since the Roland JP-6 service docs are apparently still available, I will
remove them from my site and put a note that they are available from Roland.
What contact information did you use to obtain these documents?  I have had
mine for years and assumed they were no longer available.

Not being funny or anything, but do you have Roland's
 permission to scan and post them ? I was thinking of
scanning them myself, but I'm not quite sure how companies
like Roland view this, especially where they still have the
original docs for sale.
