Machine shops will typically hammer you with costs.. Just simple
engraving and you are looking at $100-$200!

Not bad considering a decent size CNC mill will go for under 5k used
from a closure sale.

Can you guess what has been making more money for me than synth
repairs? ;)

One thing I always thought was cool was cutting decal vinyl in your
pattern, stick it to the panel, and borrowing a sandblaster and using
the vinyl to mask off the abrasive sand. It looks pretty good, and can
be very accurate.
