there are companies that sell components in russia ofcourse...
but availability may be troublesome... otoh there might be
a stash of million those ic's rusting in some abandoned warehouse...
specs of some of those chips might be different than originals cause
most of them was produced during cold war... stazzi used to smuggle
components from west to east berlin and stuff went to cccp (insert red
star here) labs where they dissolved casings and tried to clone silicon
dies. I guess later they just bought the technology, but knowing 726
was mil spect part, who knows...
btw have I mentioned I once bought set of russian potentiometers and
some
tools preserved in whale's fat (oil)? (I mean really) I kept russian
interpretation of x-acto knife (well the blade is 2mm thick) in lacquer
dissolvant for six months but it didn't kill the stinch...
