[sdiy] Keyboard assemblies?...

Thrift stores are a great source, too, often very cheap.
Online auctions can be good, too, especially if you don't live in or near
a big city.

...Basically anything you can string a string of resistors on!

QWERTY keyboards can be kindof tricky to mod since they are pretty much of
one-peice construction and the switches are hardwired in a matrix
configuration - of course nothing can stop a crafty DIY'er ;-)
You might have better luck with some the *really* old computer keyboards
(or numeric keypads) that are actually built of individual key switch
assemblies soldered to PCB.

I did see one appear, in excellent condition with it's Leslie, in a
Salvation Army thriftstore about 15 years ago for $500 - It was sold in a
heart beat!
