[sdiy] -48V dc/dc converters

Hi,

does anyone know anything about -48V dc/dc converters? I have several here
with 5V or +/-12V. All have been pulled from unknown rack type assemblies
and use euro style connectors along the back. The overall assemblies were by
ericsson, though I can't be sure about the converters themselves. Basically
I want to know what sort of equipment these are used in (general, not
specific), and if they are worth anything. If not, they'll end up as
synthesizer parts.
