Update:
With 100V at the top of the ladder, I can squeeze
about 1mA thru the ladder before nasty distortion sets
in. Its more intense on one side of the ladder, so I
suspect a bad tube. Not in possession of a tester, I
have arranged for new tubes to be delevered to the
dungeon where I carry out my diabolical schemes.
Probably take a week or two to get them.
Currently (pun indended) the max cutoff is about 1KHz.
I can juggle cap values, but I'm waiting to resolve
the tube issue before proceeding.
Meanwhile I think I'll build the transistor version to
get acquainted with its performance.
I'll have a diabolical schematic ;-> of the tubular
version as soon as I convince Orcad to draw something
as old as tubes. Anybody know of a tube library for
Orcad??
