[sdiy] IC inquiry again

Hello all,

Anyone who has access to sites like the recently mentioned Partminer
could do me a great favour. They have information on the chip I'm
researching on for the Buchla 700, but since I'm not registered for a
pay account I can't get at the info. I have no use for a registration
other than that. If someone is willing to help, please reply off the
list.

Has anyone ever heard of running video ICs in twin mode operation for
higher throughput (master chip providing system timing and displaying
even image lines; slave chip accepting sync input and displaying odd
lines)? Will this double the probability of failure as well as the
throughput in case the chips have some design faults?

I apologize if that's an inappropriate topic for this list. The 700
badly needs custom modifications. Is there a place/ group where
complex hybrid machines like this one are discussed?
