Check the Buchla VCO schematics at my web. There is a nice little rbe
compensation in there, works well even today. There is no reason it
should not make the CA3046 or LM394 work really well.

I have considered a uA726 clone project, I think I have everything I
need, but I need to get my fingers out of the cake...

PS. Don't give me all that "you don't want to clone the uA726..."
stuff. This one is just for the fun of it....
