Odp: [sdiy] Level Headed

Hey Harry -
If the Env Gens go negative, won't the VCA's *really really* turn off? This
leads me to the following muse - I have noticed a serious lack in most
modular systems (or at least the ones I've built) of mixing an offset
voltage with control signals. All this would usually take is a couple of
jacks with + and - voltage rails on them thru a 1K resistor or something,
plus a DC mixer (which of course chews up a mixer...). How many commercial
systems have fixed voltage jacks?

Three votes... positive and negative voltages. I usually have the
Env Gens go positive only for the VCAs so you can be sure of
really turning off... but for VCO, LFO, etc its all Bipolar.

BTW is that you Roman ? New e-mail addy ?
