Well I hope that the SDIY community is for the most part made up of clear
thinking mostly engineers, adn we still have massive arguments over the
first three...I have my favourite panel size which I believe is the best
engineering compromise, ditto connector types and what I consider
cost-effective practice....OK, number 4 isn't a problem, I seem to get one
with most people if they can put up with the wierd sense of humour, but
number 5 is a pretty irrational argument whenever I hear it....things sound
different, but I've heard basslines where if you tried to make it with a
Moog 55 it wouldn't sound right, but it sounds great coming from a
CZ101....ergo the CZ101 is better than Dr Bob's 55......

Yeah....back when I was doing the Modulus stuff more closely I caught a lot
of flack from all quarters about panel size (I'm based int he UK so I used
the same as the only successful UK-based DIY modular), connector size (to
match previous) and I tried to keep the costs down, or at least to offer
options that would make it cheaper to build.....still got a lto fo crticism
though....that said I had some other peope who thought it was great that
this stuf would just go straight into their Digisound.......

Reckon I'll leave that to Analog Heaven :-))
