[sdiy] Searching through the archives

Is there any easy way to go through the archives?  I've got tons of space so I don't mind downloading them all, but I was curious to know if anybody knows of a program that can search through multiple text files for key words.  As it stands it seems like it would take a very very long time to go through the files one by one and search them every time I have a question.
