Didn't catch the programme, but in a somewhat related vein I am about
half way through reading the new book "Analog Days: the invention and
impact of the Moog synthesizer" by Trevor Pinch and Frank Trocco
(Harvard Univ Press, 2002). It charts the early days of syntheszers, and
Moog in particular. As an early teenager at the start of the Seventies,
I was completely enthralled by Moog's and the likes of Emerson, Lake and
Palmer, so reading about how it all happened is totally fascinating - I
recommend it unreservedly!
