Some time ago there was a discussion on various protoboards 
(pad per hole, vero stripboard etc).
Here's one that might suit some.. Steve Daniels, who writes for 
Poptronics and Nuts&Volts has designed his own, and sells it through
his mailorder business www.smallbearelec.com

I'm a satisfied customer of Steves (I havn't used the protoboard,
but I've bought a lot of other stuff from him!)
