Hi all:

I recently assembled a Paia ring modulator kit.  This being my first kit, 
there is of course, a problem.  The unit works fine for about 3 or 4 
minutes, then the effect disappears and only the dry signal is passed 
through.  The effect seems to disappear faster if the frequency knob is 
turned (direction doesn't seem to matter).  The effect will return if the 
power is increased slightly, only to disappear after another 3 or 4 
minutes.  I assume the problem lies somewhere in the power supply or 
grounding of the unit.  I am testing it from a regulated bipolar supply 
using roughly 10.5 volts at about 200 mA.  The ground on the unit is 
connected to the ground on the power supply.

I'd be very interested to know if someone has run into a problem like this, 
and how they solved it, or at least what to look for.  Thanks in advance.
