[sdiy] Formant - still viable?

What are the chances of still being able to build the Elektor Formant, now
that it ts ~25 years old?

Has anyone done this *recently*?

I'm looking at this design, because:
1. I have a very full and complete description of its construction, and
working theory,
2. I can buy it "a component at-a-time" if necessary.

I've go to wonder though, if all the components are still available, and
whether alternatives exist.

Comments, anyone?
