Hi Theo,
Thanks for your interest, basically the item would involve a cheap
miniature microphone (6mm, £1.99, 50-15kHz) with supporting circuitry,
which is then fed into a filter to eliminate the unwanted elements of
the sound source, this would then be fed to an amp / mixer for live
use / recording. OK, so this is not an entirely new idea, but it is
the "playability" and nature of the sound souce and mic position that
makes this an interesting instrument.  I wanted to make this run off a
small battery. The filter would need to be a lpf (ideally with
variable cutoff and switchable resonance) a triggered envelope for the
cutoff / rez might also be handy, but thats for the wish list.
Obviously all these elements already exist, but I need help
simplifying / miniaturising the circuitry (small matchbox size).
Any ideas and comments are most welcome.
