Dear Friends,
    Thanks for all the helpful replies.  I'll look into the CA3046.  The
application is far less critical than a VCO.  I intend to use it as differential
amp configuration in a really strange circuit from Ampeg called "The
Scrambler."  The circuit feeds rectified out-of-phase signal into both sides of
the differential amp and then coughs out all these octave harmonics.  My line of
inquiry is whether a matched pair will produce a more intense sound that two
discreet xstrs.  Thanks again and Happy Holidays everybody!
