Or... you could use multiple heads like the rol at nd space echo...

At least they'd be fixed.

One thing to try is scavange old CASETTE decks for the heads...because they
usually mount on one fixed post and one spring loaded side...so that asimuth
can be adjusted.  If you found a bunch that match, the mechanical part could
be as easy as drill / tap metal...
