[sdiy] Enamel? Powdercoat?

When I was in high school I had to make some weird-ass metal bracket
for holding up a pot plant on a wall. We powder coated the brackets by
heating them up with a blow torch (not red hot, just hot), and dipping them
into a 44 gallon drum with black powder coating powding in the bottom.
A vacuum cleaner on blow attached the bottom of the drum made the
powder particles fill the drum, and the give the bracket an even coating.
The finish is not perfect, but it doesn't look half bad! And I still have
the
bracket somewhere, with all the coating still on, 11 years since I made it!

We also got to make a tool box (which I still have and use), as well as
a nail punch (which I still have and use!). No synth DIY unfortunately :(
