Hi the list,
For quite some time I've been thinking of designing
(and even building) a polyphonic VC analog granular
synthesis unit. It would consist of a bank of single
chip monophonic synths (like the CEM3394). A uC
would generate clouds of events, and would also take
care of ADSR for each voice.
But when I read Jürgen's webpage about his PolyKorg
clone, and especially when I read "single transistor WF
converter", "5-transistor-VCF", "single diode VC resonance",
"single transistor VCA", etc. I wonder if the PolyKorg architecture
would be another possible (and cheaper ?) option...
OTOH, one can imagine to insert a uC in the clone project
and extend its functions : MIDI polyphonic sequencer,
polyphonic arpegiator and of course : polyphonic granular
synthesis...
