....Mercury (metallic) used to be used as a laxitive!(must have felt kinda
funny going through). This was back in 1700 or so.

....yeah, I remember rubbing it onto aluminum, where it forms an alloy with
the surface & the aluminum reacts with oxygen to give feathery aluminum oxide.
