[sdiy] 707 ways to baffle a cat...

so after having a gutted tr-707 for many months, I mustered up the
energy and put it back together (still had all the parts too)... I
changed many of the LED's to different colored high-intensity. the
first led (the first beat, or bass drum select) doesn't work.. I might
have done that wrong, haven't checked.

the problem is that it seems to 'stutter' on the reset of the
sequence. Low tom for example, if it's on the first note, it will
trigger twice. Most of the sounds don't do this, but there is still a
little lag when it goes from 16 to 1. at this point, many of the
'dots' in the display light up momentarily, and often, many of the
'instrument' LED's also give a breif flash...

Anybody have any ideas?

I think I'm way over my head with this, so if there is anybody on the
list who has experience with these fellas whom I could send it off to
and have it repaired..etc..

well.. what says you oh gurus..?
