    Tim...I have used the DAC1230 for quite some time.  The only time I
have ever had trouble with it was when I used +5 volts for VCC.  That
was quite a while ago, so, I don't remember what the symptoms were.
When I changed the supply voltage to +15 volts, I do remember that my
problems went away.

    By the way, I am pretty sure that the DAC1230 is no longer made by
national.  Does anybody know if it is made by anybody else?
