About all I can suggest to be able to stay the course,
is if you think you may need certain DIP parts, and they
are available now, buy a pile. I am trying to amass a
stock of stuff I think I will need before they go the
way of the dinosaur. One good reason is that as time
goes by, the price will likely only increase. Buying
them now might save you money in the long run. Look
what some once popular and cheap chips now go for.
Some are so rare that we are willing to pay big bucks
for USED ones. Their rarity has caused those who still
need them to compete more heavily for them. At least
there is this forum, where if I were to buy way too many
of something, I might be able to help someone out here
who needs what I have.
As a friend of mine likes to say: "Wish in one hand,
sh!t in the other. Which one fills up first?"
