I sent out schematics to those who were interested in this off list. 
they're scaled down and just show the set up for two oscillators but it
should be fairly to extrapolate how to add more and expand... If anyone
wants me to post this schematic on list i will,

I like the sound of your idea. I am always trying to think of electronic
toys and games that will inspire my 2 year old daughter. Any chance of a
photo and a schematic? Or just a better description. It’s a bit hard to
visualise. I probably wouldn’t attempt it without a schematic because I
don’t have the time to spend working it out. By the way I don’t work for
Mattel either :>
