[sdiy] CMOS as voltage variable resistor

Dear Magnus , and list,
I think the cmos ic 4007 is used in a couple of adsr circuits ,
for example in the Arp omni and the Korg PS3200 .
but I'll have to look at the schematics to see if its used as a volatge
variable resistor.
its always very clever using ic's in ways that they weren't intended to
be used in ........
was it the elektor phaser that used a 4069 , but didn't specify which
type to use or mention how  the power supply pins on the ic should be
connected.
