Real men don't use emulators. ;)  I've been debugging for years by
dropping calls to the the MidiSendData routine into the code where ever I
want to know what's going on.  Move the value in question into the
accumulator, poop it out Midi, and view the results on my E!'d DX7II's
midi monitor.  Simple, yet effective.
