[sdiy] juno 6 MIDI

I recently picked up a Juno 6 for very cheap (off my boss!) and have looked
at MIDIing it. Can anyone tell me if this retrofit for a Korg Poly6 will
work:
http://www.angelfire.com/geek/srlabs/p6retro2.html
The connectors are exactly the same in the Juno and the surrounding
circuitry is similar on both. I've built the circuit and tested in the Juno
but got nothing, not a surprise since I think my only 74148 is dodgy
(another is on the way). I also added the DINer PIC from this site to sync
the arpeggiator to the MIDI clock, that works great :) Any help with this
would be much appreciated, it certainly is cheaper than the other methods.

Regards,
Sean
