Hi,

For those able to visit:

Saturday May 26 at 15:00
at the Stedelijk Museum
Paulus Potterstraat 13
Amsterdam The Netherlands
(admission 5 Euro or 'museumkaart')

Eric Ross will perform using a Big Briar Theremin.

I visited a concert by Mr. Ross last monday
and I was very impressed. (Cem Café Sonore)
First of all there aren't much Theremin concerts lately ;-)
Mr. Ross is using today's techniques, like delays and WahWah pedal,
which makes the sound much more interesting.
A wonderful technique is 'gliding the delays into the same note'.
The fine gestures playing the instrument stay, of course.

The CD's which are sold during the concert are worthwhile too.
(So bring some extra Euro's with you - Live at Berlin JazzFest is
a very good one - Sun Ra and Miles Davis like)

Look at:

and for those unable to come, see:

and of course
http://www.stedelijk.nl/

Wout

A marvelous effect occurred when a technician walked in front of the
Theremin... "ooooWUUWaaaab" ;-)
