Hia Dave..yeah Thorsten saw the earlier pics of the prototype and luved em..
I think hes going to do some work on developing the sequencer side of Mbox64
which will be cool for 3030, 9090 projects! Hopefully he'll like the
finished module even more.. ;-)

v. good point..I would have liked to have used faders..but 2 problems:-

1) I wanted this module to be as small as possible..so there was no room to
fit x48 sliders
onto the front panel! Not even a row of 16 sliders! Use a bigger case ..then
sliders are no problem

2) Since I planned to make the front panel myself..cutting perfectly
rectangular slider
cutouts by hand is kinda like torture..wheras nice round circular cutouts
are easy
with Q-max cutters. I heard that one can get Q-max cutters that cut
rectangles ..but probably not
slider sized cutouts.

If you want to have a front panel made by eg shaeffer..and its large
enough..sliders would be
an excellent option for the mdidbox64! I think Thorstens M64 firmware can
support motorized
pots and sliders too?

cheers
